Straight No Chaser
Under a masterful ride by Hall of Famer John Velazquez, Straight No Chaser stalked and pounced to a half-length victory in 2024 G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint, solidifying that year’s Eclipse Award for champion sprinter. The Dan Blacker pupil added the $2-million G2 Riyadh Dirt Sprint in 2025 and retired to WinStar Farm for stud duties in 2026.

Reputation showed immediate promise in her training, but took several starts put it all together. She broke through emphatically with a third-out maiden special weight romp at Gulfstream in April of 2025, took another step forward two starts later when rallying in last-to-first fashion to annex an Ellis Park and then dominated Colonial’s Tyson M. Gilpin S. by almost seven lengths. She added a Grade 3 placing to conclude her 3-year-old season.
